It started with a cutting mat and a bad craft knife.

There's a proper plotter now, and the knife has been retired. But everything still gets drawn by hand first — on paper, with actual pencils — before it ever becomes a file. And every order still gets checked by hand before it goes in the envelope.

Where the drawings come from

Most of them come from somewhere specific. A morning at Pillar Point when the tide was out. A foggy walk through the redwoods. An otter at Moss Landing who could not be bothered. If a sticker looks like a place you've been, that's probably why.

How they're made

Drawings are scanned, cleaned up, and printed on permanent vinyl, then cut on a plotter one sheet at a time. Most go out on semi-gloss stock, with glossy and matte available too — matte is the one to ask for if you write on your stickers, since it takes pen without smearing. A lot of these end up in planners and journals.

Packaging is plastic-free: paper mailers, paper tape, compostable sleeves. It costs a bit more and it's worth it.
